Golden Valley Lake - A carp venue in france
Welcome
to our Carp Fishing venue in Brittany, France. Etang du Vaulaurent (in English meaning lake of the golden valley) is our private lake of some 31 acres, set in 50 acres of our own land, largely forested, and in a quiet rural valley, approximately one mile from the village of St Martin sur Oust, in the heart of 'The Morbihan', Brittany, France. Our carp fishing venue is an 'Adults Only' venue and is tailor made for those who prefer a 'drive and survive' style angling break.
A Dream Location to Fish for Carp in France
Being
friendly, English family owners, at Vaulaurent
we offer a fully
private and idyllic location for your carp fishing holiday. Situated in
a very peaceful, tranquil environment in south eastern Morbihan with
its warmer climate, we have the perfect setting to enhance your angling
experience. Lakeside cabin accommodation is
available or,
for those who prefer simply to bivvy, plenty of space is available
adjacent to the swims. A modern amenity block with free hot showers and english style flush toilets is situated by our secure parking area, and a small clubhouse with kitchenette, tables and chairs etc., is also situated nearby.
The Lake
Vaulaurent
is a mature, rich, naturally balanced, silt bottomed lake
and features tree lined margins and lily pads. All our swims,
singles and doubles, are conveniently spaced, have easy access, and
give a maximum of eight anglers plenty of water without encroaching on
others.
Fishing
by night is authorised allowing you legal 24
hours-a-day fishing, and fishing permits are included in our prices
which start at £225 per angler per weekly booking. Long
weekend
reservations can also be made at certain times during the
season.
Exclusive use of the lake is also an option.

The
lake is stocked
with over 300 carp, largely mirrors and
commons. However our waters have not been seriously fished
during
the seasons of 2007 and 2008 whilst waterside developments have taken
place.
In
2005 and
2006,
nearly all caught carp were over 20lbs and an
average catch was between 25 and 35lbs. We firmly believe now
- 3
years, later that many of these will be comfortably in their 40s.
