For those anglers who prefer, we have constructed timber
cabins on the bank adjacent to their own swims.
Space is provided by each cabin for vehicle parking and there
is also space between the cabin and lake for a bivvy tent should you
should prefer to use the cabin for storage, cooking and eating etc ...
The
cabins are timber Finlandia
style intended for two or three anglers,
each in the form of one large room approximately 14 feet square and
containing small kitchenette with sink and drinking water, a two ring
hob for cooking, fridge, kettle, pans, crockery and cutlery for
three.
Electric lighting is provided and an electric socket for
charging
cameras, mobile phones etc... Storage shelves and hooks are
also
provided.
Off ground BBQs
are permitted on the concrete terrace in front of the
cabins by those hiring the cabin.
Clubhouse Cabin
For
those
who don't require a cabin, a small timber clubhouse is provided for use
by all paying anglers. This has similar equipment to the anglers cabins
but with more seating available.
Safe parking is provided close to reception with
hard gravel
driveways from the gated access to the public highway.
Facility for disabled
Cabin No 1 is equipped with a ramp to its own pontoon adjacent to the swim and suitable for wheelchair
access.
Large Tents, Caravans and Motorhomes
We're sorry but we cannot accept any tents other than bivvy
tents.
Likewise we do not accept caravans or motor homes.
If you require accommodation other than that offered or
accepted at
Vaulaurent, we can advise on what is available in the area.
Bivvy
Bivvy tents may be pitched adjacent
their swims.
We
remind our customers that BBQs and open fires are not allowed on the
bank and
please, absolutely no litter - including cigarette ends and bottle
tops.
All litter should be placed in receptacles provided.
Amenity Block
For all paying guests, you will find a modern amenity block,
with
private cubicles - each fully tiled and containing hot shower, flush
toilet (English style), wash basin and continuous hot water to washing
facilities.
Shops and markets
St Martin sur Oust is a large village with a small
supermarket,
butchers, bakers, chemist and restaurant and bars.
Some angling accessories are available in the village though
in the
nearby medieval town of Malestroit, approx 15 minutes drive, there is
an excellent angling store.
