Mirrors & Common Carp
Wild Carp continue to grow
Vaulaurent is stocked with
over
three hundred carp, largely mirrors and commons, the majority of which
are over 15lbs in weight. The record for the lake stands at 36lbs 8oz,
though this was in early 2005 and we believe that this mirror, and
probably several of his mates, now some years later, will be in the
40s.

As the waters have
not been
fished seriously for several years now, it can be expected that the
carp have developed a more natural instinct in their habitat. A little
knowledge and skill put into practice should prove rewarding.
A fishing location from
the past in Brittany - France
For
many years, Vaulaurent lake was a favourite fishing location for pike,
perch and many other species of fish.
Now the lake of Vaulaurent is an excellent place for fishing carp in
France.
Don't expect Vaulaurent to be a walkover with big fish being
landed every ten minutes. But you can certainly expect to land
some very nice healthy challenging carp which will give you an exciting
run for your money. A little experience should provide you with some
excellent sport and some great photos and for many - a new personal
best.
