Mirrors & Common Carp
Wild Carp continue to grow
Vaulaurent
is stocked with mirrors and commons, mostly in the
late 20's and 30's, with some 40's and perhaps one late 40's +.
As we have had no
serious angling since 2006 until June last year (whilst
developing our amenities), we don't know exactly how far into
the
40's. We are waiting with anticipation this season.

As the waters have
not been
fished seriously for several years now, it can be expected that the
carp have developed a more natural instinct in their habitat. A little
knowledge and skill put into practice should prove rewarding.
A fishing location from the past in Brittany - France
For
many years, Vaulaurent lake was a favourite fishing location for pike,
perch and many other species of fish.
Now the lake of Vaulaurent is an excellent place for fishing carp in
France.
At Vaulaurent, we don't boast to have the biggest carp, but we do have one of the most beautiful and totally private settings for a perfect fishing break. All our carp caught recently have been in perfect condition and give a good fight, and a little skill and experience should reward you well. For example, this young chap recently banked 286lbs of fighting mirrors in his first 20 hours of angling.
