Mirrors & Common Carp

Golden Valley lake is stocked with carp, largely mirrors, with some commons and the odd leather.  There are plenty of 20's, 30's, and 40's, and lst season we had a few  50's banked with the lake record now being exactly 52lbs.  We're confident there are several more 50's in there and there may just be that possibility of reaching a sixty in 2012.

At Golden Valley we also have a stock of pike, zander and many other fish.  This zander was banked by Dean, one of our regulars and weighed almost 18lbs.  The picture to the right shows Dean again with a mirror 44lb.12oz.

At Vaulaurent, we don't boast to have the biggest carp, but we do have one of the most beautiful and totally private settings for a perfect fishing break.  All our carp caught recently have been in perfect condition and give a good fight, and  a little skill and experience should reward you well.  For example, this young chap (photo right) banked 286lbs of fighting mirrors in his first 20 hours of angling.
