Welcome to our Carp fishing in Brittany
For a very quick view of our details: click on 'Short Story'. All the information about our Carp fishing Venue is available there.
Etang to Vaulaurent (in English meaning Lake of the Golden Valley) is our private, family owned lake of some 31 acres, set in 50 acres of our own land, largely forested, and in a quiet rural valley approximately one mile from the village of St Martin sur Oust in the heart of the Morbihan, Brittany France. Our carp fishing venue is tailor made for those who prefer a "Drive and Survive" style angling break.
Over the last three years, the lake has largely been closed whilst we have carried out considerable developments around and adjacent to the water. Vaulaurent now offers fully private fishing Carp in France - Brittany with no rights of way across the property, new locations for swims, a modern amenity block, cabin accommodation if required, and much more to enhance your angling fishing carp stay in France at Golden Valley Venue.
Vaulaurent Lake
A Dream Location to fish for Carp in France
Having
been a reservoir serving the old mill (now long disused), Vaulaurent is
an old naturally balanced, silt bottomed lake featuring tree lined
margins and lily pads. Its depth varies from 5 feet to 14 feet at its
deepest point.

For many years a favourite fishing location for pike, perch and many other species of fish, the lake has more recently - and by its two previous owners - been stocked and used as carp fishery. We are re-opening the lake in July 2008 specifically designed for fishing carp in France.
Accommodation
Timber Finlandia cabins
Our
timber cabins are
new and are well located close to the water at the top of the bank,
each with a good view over the lake and its own swims.
A modern amenity block is provided for those wishing simply to "bivvy" by their swims.

Vaulaurent
is largely stocked with mirrors and common carp amongst a great variety
of other fish including pike, pikeperch, and many other smaller fish.

The
village has all the major
amenities including small supermarket, butchers, bakers, five
licensed
bars, two
restaurants and historic chapel.
